The Coalition of Carers and Carers UK (Scotland) have drawn up a briefing paper for carers on the upcoming intergration of adult health and social care services in Scotland.

The Scottish Governenment wants the NHS and local authorities to work more effectively and provide a better service for patients and carers. Ministers believe that both health and social care services need to change the way they currently opporate and work more closely together by intergrating their services and resources.

The Government has produced a set of proposals explaining how this will work and why they think it needs to happen. They intend to develop legislation that will require asking for people's views ion their proposals and are interested to hear from both users of services and their carers. This paper explains the proposals, how they may affect you and the person you care for and how you can contribute your views to the debate.
